Name: Tedizolid Injection

Why is this medication prescribed?

Tedizolid injection is used to treat skin infections caused by certain types of bacteria. Tedizolid is in a class of medications called oxazolidinone antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, and other viral infections.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

What are some other side effects of Tedizolid Injection?

All drugs may cause side effects. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or get medical help if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away:

  • Loose stools (diarrhea).
  • Dizziness.
  • Headache.
  • Upset stomach or throwing up.
