  • If you have ever had any of these health problems: Autoimmune hepatitis or liver disease.

What are some other side effects of Peginterferon Alfa-2b?

  • Flu-like signs.
  • Upset stomach or throwing up.
  • Loose stools (diarrhea).
  • Not hungry.
  • Hair loss.
  • Not able to sleep.
  • Feeling tired or weak.
  • Weight loss.
  • Change in taste.
  • Dizziness.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Irritation where the shot is given.
  • Muscle or joint pain.
  • Headache.

How do I store and/or throw out Peginterferon Alfa-2b?

  • Store vials at room temperature. Do not freeze.
  • Use right away after mixing or you may store in a refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  • Throw away any part not used after use.
  • Keep all drugs in a safe place. Keep all drugs out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Check with your pharmacist about how to throw out unused drugs.
