- It is used to clean out the GI (gastrointestinal) tract.
What do I need to tell my doctor BEFORE I take Clenpiq?

- If you have any of these health problems: Bowel block, enlarged colon, hole in the GI (gastrointestinal) tract, or slow-moving GI (gastrointestinal) tract.
- If you have kidney disease.
- If you have electrolyte (like sodium, potassium, phosphate) problems.
- If you are taking other laxatives.

- Do not eat solid food or drink milk while taking Clenpiq (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid solution).
- Do not take other drugs within 1 hour of starting Clenpiq (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid solution). Talk with your doctor about how to take your other drugs with Clenpiq (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid solution).
- This medicine is ready to drink. You do not need to dilute Clenpiq (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid solution) before you take it.
- Drink clear liquids before, during, and after taking Clenpiq (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid solution). Do not drink any liquids that are purple or red.
- If you have very bad belly pain, swelling, or bloating after the first dose, do not take the second dose until they go away. Talk with your doctor.
- Do not take other drugs within 1 hour of starting Clenpiq (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid solution). Some drugs may need to be separated from Clenpiq (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid solution) by a longer time.
