Aprepitant intravenous

Name: Aprepitant intravenous

Precautions While Using aprepitant

Check with your doctor if severe nausea and vomiting continue after leaving the hospital or cancer treatment center.

Do not take aprepitant if you are also using pimozide (OrapĀ®). Using these medicines together may cause serious unwanted effects.

aprepitant may cause a serious allergic reaction, called anaphylaxis. This can be life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention. Tell your doctor right away if you have a rash, itching, hoarseness, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing, or any swelling of your hands, face, or mouth after using aprepitant.

aprepitant may decrease the prothrombin time (time it takes for your blood to clot) when used together with warfarin (CoumadinĀ®) in patients with blood clotting problems. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns.

Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor. This includes prescription or nonprescription (over-the-counter [OTC]) medicines and herbal or vitamin supplements.
