Azithromycin Extended-Release Oral Suspension

• It is used to treat or prevent bacterial infections.

Use this medicine as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.

• Take on an empty stomach. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
• Shake well before use.
• Use within 12 hours of making.
• If you throw up within 1 hour of taking azithromycin extended-release oral suspension, call your doctor to find out what to do.

What do I do if I miss a dose?

• Only 1 dose of this medicine is needed. If you miss your dose, take it as soon as you think about it.

All drugs may cause side effects. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or get medical help if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away:

• Belly pain.
• Loose stools (diarrhea).
• Headache.
• Upset stomach or throwing up.
• Itching.
• Not hungry.
