- Take on an empty stomach. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- Shake well before use.
- Use within 12 hours of making.
- If you throw up within 1 hour of taking azithromycin extended-release oral suspension, call your doctor to find out what to do.

- Only 1 dose of this medicine is needed. If you miss your dose, take it as soon as you think about it.
