Benzocaine and Glycerin Oral Spray

• It is used to treat mouth sores.
• It is used to treat canker sores.
• It is used to treat mouth irritation.
• It is used to ease mouth and throat pain.

• Tell all of your health care providers that you take this medicine. This includes your doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists.
• Do not eat while your mouth feels numb. You may bite your tongue.
• If you smoke, talk with your doctor.
• Do not give benzocaine and glycerin oral spray to a child younger than 6 years of age.
• Talk with the doctor before you use this medicine for a child younger than 12 years old.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using benzocaine and glycerin oral spray while you are pregnant.
• Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding. You will need to talk about any risks to your baby.

All drugs may cause side effects. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or get medical help if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away:

• Irritation where this medicine is used.
• Mouth tingling.
