Amlodipine & Olmesartan & Hydrochlorothiazide

Before taking amlodipine/olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide, tell your doctor about all of your medical conditions. Especially tell your doctor if you:

• are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medication
• have liver problems
• have heart problems
• have kidney problems
• have lupus
• are vomiting or have a lot of diarrhea
• have any other medical conditions
• are pregnant or breastfeeding

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.

The FDA categorizes medications based on safety for use during pregnancy. Five categories - A, B, C, D, and X, are used to classify the possible risks to an unborn baby when a medication is taken during pregnancy.

This medication falls into category D. Amlodipine/olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide is not usually recommended for use during pregnancy. See the “Amlodipine & Olmesartan & Hydrochlorothiazide FDA Warning” section.

• Take amlodipine/olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor may change your dose if needed.
• This medication comes in tablet form and is taken once a day, with or without food. You may take with food if this medication bothers your stomach.
• It is best to take amlodipine/olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide at the same time every day.
• If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses of amlodipine/olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide.

• Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully.
• Your doctor may start you on the 20/5/12.5 mg once daily dose of olmesartan/amlodipine/hydrochlorothiazide and may increase your dose as necessary to achieve the desired blood pressure response.
• The maximum recommended dose for this medication is 40 /10 /25 mg once daily.
