- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using lice cleanser shampoo while you are pregnant.
- Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding. You will need to talk about any risks to your baby.
How is this medicine (Lice Cleanser Shampoo) best taken?
Use this medicine as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.
- Follow how to use as you have been told by the doctor or read the package insert.
- Do not take lice cleanser shampoo by mouth. Use on your scalp and hair only. Keep out of your mouth, nose, ears, and eyes (may burn).
- Wash hands before and after use.
- Rub into dry hair and scalp all the way.
- Lather well and leave on as you have been told.
- Cover eyes and face with a towel.
- Rinse fully.
- Wash all bedding, towels, and recently worn clothes in hot water or have them dry cleaned.
- Use special nit comb or tweezers to get rid of dead nits (lice eggs) from hair.
- If this medicine gets in the eyes, rinse with a lot of water. If eye irritation lasts for a while, talk with the doctor.
What do I do if I miss a dose?
- Use a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
- If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
- Do not use 2 doses or extra doses.
