Do not use miconazole if you:
- are allergic to miconazole (M-Zole, Monistat, Vusion)
- are allergic to milk protein concentrate
- are allergic to any of the ingredients in miconazole

- have liver problems
- have any other medical conditions
- are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
- are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
What other drugs will affect DermaFungal (miconazole topical)?
It is not likely that other drugs you take orally or inject will have an effect on topically applied miconazole. But many drugs can interact with each other. Tell each of your health care providers about all medicines you use, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
What do I need to tell my doctor BEFORE I take DermaFungal?
- If you have an allergy to miconazole or any other part of DermaFungal (miconazole (vaginal)).
- If you are allergic to any drugs like this one, any other drugs, foods, or other substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had, like rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
This medicine may interact with other drugs or health problems.
Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all of your drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins) and health problems. You must check to make sure that it is safe for you to take this medicine with all of your drugs and health problems. Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any drug without checking with your doctor.
What are some other side effects of DermaFungal?
All drugs may cause side effects. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Call your doctor or get medical help if any of these side effects or any other side effects bother you or do not go away:
- Stomach cramps.
- Burning.
- Irritation where this medicine is used.

Along with its needed effects, miconazole topical (the active ingredient contained in DermaFungal) may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur while taking miconazole topical:
- Blistering, burning, redness, skin rash, or other sign of skin irritation not present before use of this medicine
