What do I need to tell my doctor BEFORE I take Aquoral?

  • If you have an allergy to saliva substitute or any other part of Aquoral (saliva substitute solution).
  • If you are allergic to any drugs like this one, any other drugs, foods, or other substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had, like rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.

This medicine may interact with other drugs or health problems.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all of your drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins) and health problems. You must check to make sure that it is safe for you to take Aquoral (saliva substitute solution) with all of your drugs and health problems. Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any drug without checking with your doctor.

Usual Pediatric Dose for Xerostomia

Oasis Moisturizing Mouth Spray: For children 2 years of age and older. Spray 1 to 2 times into the affected areas of mouth. Use as required up to a maximum of 30 times or 60 sprays a day.

Orajel Dry Mouth Moisturizing Gel: For children 2 years of age and older. Apply a one inch strip of product directly to tongue and around the inside and outside of the tooth and gum surface. Do not rinse out. Use as needed or as directed by a dentist or doctor.
