What are some things I need to know or do while I take Lamisil AT Jock Itch?

  • Tell all of your health care providers that you take Lamisil AT Jock Itch. This includes your doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists.
  • This medicine may cause harm if swallowed. If this medicine is swallowed, call a doctor or poison control center right away.
  • Do not give Lamisil AT Jock Itch to a child younger than 12 years old without first checking with the doctor.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using this medicine while you are pregnant.
  • Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding. You will need to talk about any risks to your baby.

How is this medicine (Lamisil AT Jock Itch) best taken?

Use Lamisil AT Jock Itch as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.

  • Use as you have been told, even if your signs get better.
  • To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses.
  • Do not take this medicine by mouth. Use on your skin only. Keep out of your mouth, nose, and eyes (may burn).
  • Do not put on your nails or scalp.
  • Do not put in the vagina or anus.
  • Wash your hands before and after use. Do not wash your hands after use if putting this on your hand.
  • Clean affected part before use. Make sure to dry well.
  • Put a thin layer on the affected skin and rub in gently.
  • Do not use coverings (bandages, dressings, make-up) unless told to do so by the doctor.

What do I do if I miss a dose?

  • Put in a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
  • If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
  • Do not put on 2 doses or extra doses.

How do I store and/or throw out Lamisil AT Jock Itch?

  • Store at room temperature.
  • Store in a dry place. Do not store in a bathroom.
  • Keep all drugs in a safe place. Keep all drugs out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Check with your pharmacist about how to throw out unused drugs.

Uses

  • cures most jock itch (tinea cruris) and ringworm (tinea corporis)
  • relieves itching, burning, cracking and scaling which accompany these conditions

Do not use

  • in or near the mouth or eyes
  • for vaginal yeast infections

Other information

  • do not use if seal on tube is broken or is not visible
  • store at controlled room temperature 20-25°C (68-77°F)

Therapy was discontinued in clinical trials by 0.2% of patients treated with terbinafine solution and 0.6% of patients treated with placebo.[Ref]
